Danum.
A trip to Doncaster today to see a friend and we went to Danum Gallery and Museum to see, what turned out to be, a fab exhibition: Drawing in the Dark. A collection of sketches by Henry Moore drawn underground at Wheldale Colliery during the war in 1942.
We only went to the museum due to the rain as we normally head out for a walk when we meet up but this turned out to be a special find as my friend's father was a miner during the war at Rossington Colliery in Doncaster and she grew up in a mining community and house.
There was also a really interesting floor in the museum about Doncaster's railway heritage as well, plus engines.
