Camping out - camping in ?

Thursdays photo posted Saturday. My little camping buddy is now with his other grandparents staying in their new lakeside lodge, very different to camping in the garden room .Arthur slept soundly in the tent , me less so . I listened to the rain pattering in the roof windows and later the bird song announcing the new day . Arthur went from fast asleep to wide awake at 5.21 and that was that !
We had both children for the first time while Jess went into work for a “ keeping in touch day .” It’s also the first time we have had Freya for a whole day . We pitched the tent in the garden and made it our focus hoping that it would distract and entertain, which it did . She watches her brother all the time and breaks out into delicious giggles when she sees him doing something funny . We feel very grateful to have these times with the children.
Today has been spent decluttering etc nor as exciting as sleeping in a tent that’s for sure!
I have done a small amount of planting out and 4 loads of washing for Jess too .
