All the fun of the Forties

Back at work this morning  and catching up on emails and other things. 
the weather was rather damp so not very busy just a  steady flow which did help me catch up on a few things.
Back home for the afternoon and pleased to say the rain  did stop for a while to allow we to go find a blip. 
This weekend there is a 1940's weekend on in the city  so ventured uphill to find a blip. The weather conditions had spoilt the event so not so many people around. This shot shows some vintage fairground rides but as you can see not many people taking advantage of the rides. I have included an extra of a 1940's blipper .
The rain started to fall again lightly  so decided to head back home before it got to fast. 

Back home and managed to wat5ch a bit of cricket which was frustrating as England only managed 1 wicket before the rain came again , the other frustration was we couldn't use our fast bowlers due to the dull conditions as they would have stopped play for poor light.
Once Julie was home we watched a recording of the 1st challenge cup semi-final where Leigh beat St Helens . Wigan play tomorrow against Hull KR.
A relaxed evening now with a few beers and some general TV viewing
