Sunday afternoon drive

We’ve lived in the Blue Mountains for 40 years and I thought I’d explored it all. I’ve seen Mt Hay hundreds of times, I’ve seen it from Mt Banks, from the Darling Causeway, Govetts Leap, Anvil Rock, Perry’s Lookdown and Evans Lookout but I realised today, I’ve never been there!
In a straight line it’s only a few kilometres from home but, not possessing a helicopter, we decided to take the ute via Leura. The road was better than I thought, the main blip on the way out near Lockley’s Pylon. The extra is Mt Hay itself looking north with Mt Tomah in the background.
