Several Things Still Work …

… after four years of disuse: the kayaks, the cracked Olympus Tough camera, our aging arms, and we had a lovely outing early morning before the Sunday boats messed up the calm water. I just love the silky silence of kayaking on the lake in these conditions. Why four years of disuse? It’s four years since we accidentally bought a hybrid car that you can’t legally put roof racks on in Switzerland! So beware of being environmentally conscious, check the rules first! We have since found a JAC electric car, much smaller, but it is one that you can have a roof rack on so we are back on the water!

Friends are driving from GB as I type, they should be here in a couple of hours so I need to prepare for their arrival. They are only staying tonight having hired a chalet in Villars for a big family reunion. They will be tired, the heat is relentless again!
