Seeing Beyond Looking

Honey and her Flowery Jungle

Today was a balcony day among flowers and plants, sunshine and shade. Miss Honey is definitely enjoying playing among all these potted plants and flowers. Her current favourite is sitting in the middle of the Lobelia flowers and they're getting rather squashed!

The tiny watering can belonged to my grandson when he was little and adored watering my plants. Now this little can has become Honey's balcony drinking water holder.

My daughter suggested a rather tall cat tree with platform for the balcony and she simply loves it (lower left). It's quite high, so I put a stool just below so that she can climb up and down more easily.

This afternoon, we had a game of hide 'n seek on the couch (3 little squares on the lower right) Hiding, washing and falling asleep, all scrunched up!

Jean and I shared Sunday lunch on the balcony and then did some reading.

The atmosphere feels a little heavy, even though it's 'only' 27C. Tomorrow there will be storms and rain (lovely) and the rest of the week promises to be warm, but not too hot. It all sounds perfect. We'll see!
