The birthday girl
A lovely day out for my friend Susan’s birthday (a little different to last year when we were in Las Vegas! - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2999297504673009286).
We started with lunch at Chaophyra, a rather lovely Thai restaurant with a terrace which looks into the castle. We were glad to be inside though as the weather was a trifle changeable. I decided not to play it safe and chose a spicier rush than normal and it was delicious, crisp chicken in a red Thai sauce.
After our late lunch we headed to a local pool hall which has recently opened a karaoke room and Susan had booked a session for us. I wasn’t sure how it would go with only 4 of us but it was a hoot. We’ve all got similar taste in music so there were very few howlers.
We sat in the bar afterwards finishing off our Prosecco and we’re enjoying our own company until a middle aged man loomed over us having been sent over to talk to us by his friends. We asked him to leave us alone but he plonked himself down beside me and kept trying to talk to us. It was then that he put his arm round my shoulders and I saw red. I invited him ever so politely to go away but used a four letter word followed by off. It took a couple of repetitions before he stood up and went back to his 2 friends. Unacceptable behaviour on all levels.
We left shortly afterwards and headed off for our respective modes of transportation home. We didn’t let it put a damper on the day but even this morning I’m confused why he thought it was an ok thing to do.
Backblipped Sunday for Saturday
