Mixed day out at Canaan. Eva and Jack stormed the 50 & 60 classes and came first in both. Only four entries in each but first is first. Got sashes today instead of frillies and some trophies which Eva is thrilled with. Eva has been desperate to try a 70cm class for a while and as there were only a couple of entries in the 70 and Canaan is a lovely and supportive environment we thought that we'd give it a try today in a relaxed atmosphere. In hindsight it was an ask too much and we had quite a few refusals starting at fence two! . Eva stuck with it though. I went in to help (too hot) and she got over them in the end. He's definitely got the scope to do 70 (and I'm proud of her for wanting to give it a go) but in hindsight prob not on a warm muggy day when he's just done two clear rounds and two very speedy jump offs! Anyway as there were only 2 entries in the 70 we still got a blue sash and a medal. Super prizes at Canaan!
