Crew

The Chinnor & Princes Risborough Railway runs on Sundays in the Summer, full of families thrilled by the steam train. I spent a happy hour snapping images for the Royal Photographic Society's Landscape Group "Postcards from Home" project.  My draft "postcard" is the extra.  But my favourite image of the day was the  crew in the cab.  I was taking lots of shots of the engine as it puffed by and couldn't actually see into the cab as it was dark.  But the camera could see and I was delighted by what Lightroom revealed.

Stop press: a camera club judge gave me 20/20 for this image in our Society's September competition. She liked the grittiness of it and the way the guy on the left looks straight at you :-)
