Sylvan Landscape

A small break in the heat and humidity in Boston today, but the morning hours were drenched in rain showers. Not very conducive to Ansel Adamsesque landscape photography!

This afternoon, we took a trip to Harvard University's Arnold Arboretum in the Jamaica Plain section of the city. The rain stopped, and the sun even made a wan attempt at shining (which only succeeded in ramping up the humidity). We had a very pleasant, peaceful stroll through the grounds, admiring the many tree specimens and shrubs. Many of the lilacs were still in bloom, as were dogwoods, hydrangeas, wisteria, and roses.
