Monday

A damp walk for me and for Hetty which ended with an icecream for her and cappuccino for me. Hetty doesn't care what the weather is like, she'll still enjoy an icecream.

Our friend's daughter, S,  has just finished her degree and has worked all the holidays since school at the cafe. (Florence worked there during 6 form). Anyway, S also bakes so I bought a date slice take home for Clive.  I walked pass her parent's house on the way home and they have promised the date slice will be delicious.

We haven't done a food shop for ages so that's on the afternoon's agenda.

Sad to read George Alagiah has died. He went to school with 2 of my brothers in Portsmouth and kept in touch with one.
