The Chesterfield Road

Today we went walking in the Peak District. After climbing a hill, which turned out had another hill built on it, and then another hill on top of that, we found ourselves on the top of Beeley Moor. There is Hob Hurst's House, a bronze age burial mound reputedly the abode of Hob Hurst. Further on down the track is this wonderful ancient way marker which points to along the Chesterfield Road on one side and Sheffield Road on the other. It's in the middle of no-where. No road, no path. Just heather all around. Fab.
