Royal Geographical Society

Spent much of today at the Royal Geographical Society - the first chance I've had to visit since I became a Fellow.

Today was an Open Afternoon, so I got a tour of their building in London and to see some of their fabulous collection of artefacts from geographers and explorers of the past. It was also the Society's Annual General Meeting and Medal and Awards Presentation so I got to hear about the great things the Society is doing at the moment.

It's come a long way since being a dining club for 12 members (all male!) in 1830.
