Sundowner, Otjiwa, Namibia

Our first sundowner after arriving in Namibia. Taken from the car as we were trying to get to our campsite before it went dark. It was a 2 hour drive from Windhoek and we saw so many animals along the drive in, all next to the main road.

Amazing breakfast in our ‘green’ hotel this morning. We were impressed that they used the grey water from the shower to flush the toilet. In the restaurant, each food item had the number of kilometres it had travelled to get there and nothing was more than 40km. The flight from Cape Town was on time and the journey was easy. It was nice to arrive somewhere a bit warmer again. The car has two tents on the roof and they were very easy to put up. We have an early morning safari tomorrow so it’ll be an early night.
