This summer has been a great one for butterflies. Our new garden planting is playing its part well.

The wildfires continue to terrify everyone caught up in Greece. We know Rhodes and Corfu well. An airline pilot acquaintance sent me a picture of the fires taken from the flight deck of his airliner. A striking nighttime image.

Here on the northern side of the jet stream the rain continues pulsing through.
