Bima Suci Arriving
A cloudy morning first thing, but cleared into a beautiful sunny and warm day. Showers started this evening. Apparently heavy rain in Lerwick all day.
Up early, a morning around the house before setting off for a late shift in the airport. I've mostly been working on the check-in, all flights on time. A busy day with passengers arriving, quiet leaving. Friends Trish and Charlene came to the airport. Trish dressed up as a Viking to greet and embarrass her sister's arrival, what a fun. Met friend Julie for walkies tonight. Feet up by the fire.
The Tall Ships race has returned to Shetland again this year, with the main events and parties later this week. A few smaller ships arrived to Unst and Yell over the weekend. This is the first big ship to arrive, the Indonesian Bima Suci. They are fantastic to watch our on the sea, but must remember to pack a bigger camera for tomorrow. Taken from Henry's Loch, Quarff.
