Domestic Moment #1

Getting a bit behind here. So what else is new, Hobbs? Sorry. I shot this several days ago and have been debating with myself as to whether it is worth posting. Same old .. same old. 

Anyway the "post-it" camp won so here it is. This is (for want of a proper description) a metal coddling (thank you JohnW) cup into which one pours an egg before suspending it in a rack above boiling water. The thing looks quite pristine from a normal distance. Alas the rim is a veritable landscape of micro ridges and valleys. All a bit sobering, really.
