Old Water Hose
I visited the old Zig Zag Clarence Station again today. I don't especially want to discuss the shame that such a fine old project has fallen on hard times. It really does pain me somewhat to think about it. But the individual instances of decay do make for nice photographic opportunities I think.
I am standing below the steam engine water tank which sits high on a tower near the end of the platform. This is the end of the flexible hose which directed water into the locomotive tanks and boilers so that they could produce steam. Some valve is leaking up there and water is continually seaping down the material onto the ground. The whole thing is quite rotten through and torn, I'm afraid.
