Long hot day in Cowbridge
After a brief crawl on the bed after waking at around seven thirty I changed your nappy and dressed you in your cute blue summery top and white leggings. We went over to Nana Sues and Grandad Mikes (taking Lily with us) to feed the animals etc. You ate your breakfast porridge al fresco again while we waited for Auntie Joanne and Joseph to arrive.
We all got into Joannes car to pick up Nana Gill to go to Cowbridge. I sat in the back with you and Joseph. You chatted and pulled at me all the way!
We went to the leisure centre in Cowbridge for softplay as Bijou playcentre was closed. I recognised the lady on reception from when I used to work at the centre but didn't see anyone else I knew. The building is exactly the same though.
She commented on how beautiful your hair is and you said 'Hiya!' to her and everyone else in reception!
We went into soft play but neither you or Joseph were that keen on playing! You had a little crawl on the mats, through the tunnel and up the soft steps and Joseph had a few goes on the slide and pushed some of the ride on cars around. Joanne left at ten to go to the hairdressers.
Joseph is still not 100 % from his recent throat infection so started to grump! I wiped clean a couple of highchairs and you both seemed to cheer up at the thought of food! I'm sure you think we go places to just eat!
After several rice cakes, a banana and Joseph eating his porridge we decided to take you both for a walk in the sunshine. Joseph went into his pram and immediately started to drop off to sleep. Nana Gill carried you and I pushed Joseph. I called into the hairdressers to tell Joanne we had left the leisure centre and she said she would be another hour!
We walked down to 'Happy Days' for a drink. Joseph still fast asleep but pushed by Nana Gill with me carrying you. We got several more comments on the way and when we got to the shop mostly as you like to say 'Hiya' to anyone who looks your way!
Nana Gill ordered a pot of tea and I ordered a Dandelion and Burdock. MMMMM!
You sat on my lap and thought it was funny to pretend to drink from my straw making your funny little screwed up nose face and laughing. You look even cuter doing this face now I your little teeth can be seen! You were being cheeky knowing that we were amused when you sucked harder on the straw and got some dandelion and burdock to go into your mouth! Oops! Oh well you seemed to like it!
The lady on the next table offered to hold you so I could finish my drink but you cwtched in to my chest and did your shy face. Not that I was keen on someone we didn't know to hold you!
We made our way over to the physic garden and swapped you into the pram as Joseph had woken up. It didn't take long for you to drop off! Joseph had a ittle sit on the (perfectly manicured) grass and played with his caterpillar toy. I also showed him some of the medicinal plants and the water fountain.
We walked over to the hairdressers and I took Joseph up to see his Mummy. Hair chopped off!! Joseph had a good look! Joanne was nearly done so we waited outside swapping you back as you woke up after an hours sleep in the pram.
We all went over to 'The Bear' for lunch with a made over Joanne ;) You both sat nicely in highchairs (until the food arrived, then you both wanted to get out!) but after a nappy change you did eat quite well. You and Joseph shared a jacket potoato and salad and you shared some of my salmon, chips and bread. You climbed up the chair and the highchair after the meal and laughed at Josephs snake puppet. I must get you one, you love it!! Nana Gill paid....naughty Nana! We told her not to!
After a long day we set off for home dropping Nana first. Daddy was at Nanas house but we didn't go in to say hello as you had just dropped off! Joanne took me to Nana Sues to get my car and you slept through the changing over of car seat into it! I drove home and stayed in the parking space until you woke up. Managed to sort out the car, changing bag and look through a magazine until you woke up.
You had a little play with a few toys but were more interested in my flash bag again! In between climbing stairs, playing with the bag and kicking it you crawled over to the corner where the 'snug' chair was. You bent down and picked something up and as I got to you to see what you had pulled two legs off a spider! Yuck!
Daddy arrived home. You were climbing up the highchair from the floor (in living room due to wet cement floor in kitchen) so I put you in it. You pulled the safety harness around as if to buckle it yourself! Clever girl! You had a tea of bread, cheese, grapes and a yoghurt. As you were covered in food, hot and agitated me and Daddy decided to give you an early bath to cheer you up. You love the bath!
It worked as you were in a better mood after it. We did vitamins, nappy, booby cream, teeth and clean vest before I went to the stables to have a ride with Hannah.
You were sleeping when I got back and Daddy said you spent the time climbing in and out of the baby bay and the headboard and banging the tin. You looked so cute when I came in. Curled up in a nest of blankets in your big cot :)
I managed to shower before you woke up for booby. Daddy went to hockey and I went over to Woodland Road when he got back.
