Iridium .....
..... 97.
Regulars to my blip journal will know of my geeky hobby of satellite spotting but those of you who are new here can find out more about Iridium satellite flares on some of my previous satellite blips.
This photo is of the flare from Iridium 97 at a magnitude of -4.7, flying just above the constellation of Leo at 23:37 tonight. I had a wander down to the park for a dark sky and positioned my camera so that the top of the rope climbing frame was in the bottom of the shot.
An hour later I also took a photo of the International Space Station flying over the rooftops of Ilkley and have put that photo Here. As it's been a while since I've had a geeky satellite blip, today's blip is .....
..... Iridium 97.
