Delightful
I had decided if the weather was reasonable at home I would drive and see where I would get to by lunchtime. Dumfries, a town not visited since I was a boy, but Border TV news is always showing something about the town even if it is flooding on the Whitesands.
"What did you want to go to Dumfries for?" I hear you say. Lunch at 'The Usual Place' and meet a Blipper friend. Typical of me I had forgotten she wouldn't be there as she indicated in her Blip of yesterday. I did have an enjoyable couple of hours having lunch, talking and taking in the sights. Then it went pear-shaped. I dropped my phone and yes I couldn't use it.
When I got to Workington a visit to Currys was required. Thankfully it was the same chap who sold me the old phone and my details were on the computer. I got the same phone again and cheaper too because of a 15% reduction for Samsung phones. Give the lad his due he tried everything to transfer stuff to the new phone for me. Anyway my contacts were still available and I am now trying to get the pedometer up and running. Thankfully I don't have many apps and my phone usage (when Jane was alive) was finding out which shop she was in!!
This photo was not taken using my old phone.
Came back home to find the scaffolding was down and a message from the window people who hired the roofers, saying the roof should be completed by Thursday or Friday.
