Taking A Breather
I could hear the woodpecker rat-a-tatting and searched for a while without success. I was looking in the wrong place because he wasn't up in the trees as I thought, but down near the water working away on a limb of the fallen willow tree.
He barely took a rest in between bouts of pecking for me to take a shot. On top of which there were twigs in the way and he shifted position frequently, including moving behind the truck. The light wasn't great and my shooting parameters were therefore very limited. I was happy when he finally posed for this image.
