Just a bit of fun
Don't look too closely and I know it's over the top but it was a slow photography day.
This took AI about 30 seconds to create from the original (See Extra).
I had a good, blast on the turbo trainer outside when I got home and Orla couldn't resist getting her bike out too.
Funnily enough my father and I were in a situation not dissimilar to this scene many years ago on top of the Col De Galibier. Watching the Tour De France and having our own cycling adventure with two friends. I will never forget this day, it rained, snowed, hailed and lightning was happening below us as we got to the top of the mountain. We descended to the bottom eventually with one in our group having to get a lift down in a motor-home, as he had early signs of on setting hyperthermia. The hotel we were staying in was carnage with people desperate for somewhere to stay, they had given our room to someone else and they had to find us accommodation in a hotel further down the valley. One of their staff took us down the valley to the new hotel at breakneck speed in a clapped out Peugeot.
As accommodation was scarce we were put up in the attic with about 6 beds in it, all open plan. We were all freezing and desperate for a shower to warm up but after the first member of our group had theirs all the warm water was gone. We did laugh later on in the evening over a beer or two and one of our friends declared it was their birthday so we had to celebrate further.
Great holiday, great times.
