Blackberry flower...
on the bush we all fondly know as brambles but I believe scientifically known as the Rubus genus. This one is wild, not cultivated, and so is probably a Rubus vulgaris. The blackberries I have been picking along the coastal path are definitely wild and do not taste as sweet as the ones we buy in the supermarket. I do prefer them. They have a lovely tangy taste with apple. If we don't get a bit more sunshine, however, a lot of the still coming and unripe blackberries may rot on their thorny branches.
Thanks ApolloFly for hosting Wild Flower Week.
