golden ringed dragonfly

Hardly ever see any dragonflies where we live so it was a wonderful surprise to see this one. I went in to get the camera and I couldn’t believe it when it was still there when I got back outside. It was really big and its wings were like fine lace, and such lovely big green eyes. Not sure what it found of interest on a buddleia flower that was well past its best though. Then it suddenly flew off over the hedge and was gone having left a few moments of magic.
