Hairy

Went down the field with the dogs this morning, and fortuitously we wandered’ into the adjacent section for a change. A lot of the year the cut through is too wet unless you have wellies on as it’s mostly a ditch. But dry at the moment at least.
And on the other side of the hedge the conditions are quite different, quite damp and boggy.
Anyway, we came across this bright wildflower called Hairy Willowherb.
Latin name Epilobium hirsutum.
There is a chance I will remember the common name, but how they expect you to remember the Latin names is beyond me….
