The ford Mungrisdale Common

Yes i know the maps show it as Calbeck Common but I have known it for decades as Mungrisdale Common and anyway, Caldbeck is several miles away.

Having heard of a "community" cafe in the Friends Meeting House Mosedale we decided to have a run out and try it.  It is run by the Northern Fells Group.  A charity covering 200 square miles of northern Cumbria.  It aims are:

To combat rural social isolation and exclusion
To alleviate deprivation
To improve access to services
To enable people to remain independent living in their own homes and in the area

After some very nice cake and coffee, we moved on to the ford to take some blips.  A very pleasant afternoon.
