Tookie's New House

I had the pleasure of visiting Tookie and her husband R. at their new house in Portland this afternoon. They moved here from Washington State a few months ago. The garden that they inherited is rather extraordinary - full of roses, Calla Lilies, Phlox, Lilies and a myriad of other ornamentals. And then there's the fig, Asian Pears, blueberries, apples and a raised veggie bed to-be-built. It was a lot of fun wandering around with Tookie's husband. He's been trying to get a bumper crop of weeds under control and doing a great job.

And then we had homemade (by R.) blueberry cobbler made from blueberries from their garden! What a delightful afternoon!
