Little cowboy

This statue is in the hospital lobby, and as near as I can figure out, the plaque says something like "in the spirit of growing [or maybe youth]" and the bottom line says "little cowboy."

This town of Waimea is on or next to the Parker Ranch, which has been here since the 1800s and is huge, and still has a lot of influence on the island.  The cowboy theme is common in this area. 

Extras are a nice hibiscus flower, and a mother hen and her chicks that were next to our car in the parking lot today. Chickens are everywhere! One of the chicks kept climbing up on mom's back for a piggyback ride, but slid off too quickly for me to get a picture. 

Daughter and baby are doing well, and hoping to come home tomorrow.
