Transitions

Absolutely pouring with rain this morning but by the time I’d done my exercise class and got showered and ready to go out it was starting to ease off and soon I was left carrying my huge umbrella for no reason.
Met up with SMcK at the museum cafe (note for future they have really lovely looking scones and cakes there!) and we had a jolly catch up and chat. She was so lovely about the first time she’d met me…quite surprising how much it had stuck in her mind.
Left there and was a bit early to meet NPS so went and booked lunch for next week with K&A then decided to just go to the cafe anyway as the rain had started again and found her already there. We had a good chat about her reflections on the Board and ideas for the future, and I couldn’t resist one of their scones having not had one earlier!
Home and reboiled the strawberry jam which hadn’t really set, then tidied up the kitchen since the whole place seemed sticky! Finally finished soaking all the labels off my jam jar stock and put them away, then washed the floors. Felt a bit whacked out so sat down to watch the end of the Sixth Commandment. So well done, and so harrowing especially knowing it’s all true. How important the diaries and notebooks were to unravelling the truth…..
L&M arrived (with only two kids this time!) and after settling the young ones we went out for dinner which I treated them to as a belated birthday present for M’s 60th in March. Haven’t seen them both for so long there was a lot to catch up on!
A lively and laughter filled evening, then home for more chat and a late night
