Shag Rock …

….. ….. ….. with the Southern Alps in the distance.
There’s not a lot left of Shag Rock since the earthquakes; it’s maybe 1/3rd of its former height.

Although I’ve done a few jobs in Christchurch today, the best part has been visiting friends. I met up with one the our Girl Friday group girls this morning, having a good catch-up, seeing there was just the two of us.

I did have a lovely walk along Sumner Beach, which is where the photo/s were taken, and then meeting an old friend at The Tannery. She’s recently broken her arm, having fallen off a chair while spring cleaning, and she’s now having to cope with a very slow healing bone.
