The Morning Glory flower

I'm posting this picture to celebrate the first flower from the Morning Glory plants I've grown from seed. It has been a difficult year and this has meant my gardening has become virtually non-existent. Sadly these seedlings suffered from not being 'potted on' in time and they have found growing quite problematical.

But this flower has bloomed normally and like all others of its species within a couple of hours it had shrivelled up and prepared for seed. I'm hoping to do better as summer progresses but still rege=ret not having a usually wonderful array of daily Morning glory flowers greeting us outside the dining room.
