No aggro in Agra!
In true tourist fashion, we were up and out early so we could watch the sunrise at the Taj Mahal - absolutely stunning! We could see it from our hotel but, of course, it was incredible to actually be there. I figured I couldn’t take any better pictures of it than you could find on the internet so I’ve gone for the helpful advice we saw when we arrived!
As well as monkeys and cattle everywhere, we’ve seen loads of vultures, mynah birds, chameleons and chipmunks. A man gave our daughter some food to feed the chipmunks and one came right up onto her hand to eat it. I don’t know what the locals think of them, but we think they’re adorable. Apparently, there will be tigers where we’ll be next week!
Everyone we’ve met has been great, too, and it’s so nice to see so many Indian tourists as well, they obviously think it’s all as fascinating as we do.
We spent the rest of the day on the road, travelling to Jaipur, with a couple of stops on the way. Slightly less scary than the roads in the cities!
