Dreich day at Hadrian’s Wall
It rained a lot in the night at our wild camp at the Dent Fault, identified by Adam Sedgwick who was born nearby in 1785. He’s known as the father of British Geology. The fault lies between the much older Howgill Fells and the younger limestone and sandstone of the Yorkshire Dales.
We took the easy way home, out to the M6 and along the A69 then the Military Road by the Roman wall where I took the blip when we stopped for our sandwich lunch.
The tooth I saw the dentist about is sore again. I’ve had no luck with the bendy things that just bend and do go between the teeth but I’m using floss all the time.
Mr C has gone to wash the van as #2 daughter and family are picking it up on Saturday. He thought it wouldn’t be nice for them to turn up at a camp site at Ullswater with it muddy. He’s mad - their car is going too as though our van can sleep 4 it is only legal for 2 to be in it on the road - and it is permanently covered in gull poo.
