Tall Ships Enjoy Sunshine
A beautiful sunny and warm day and evening. A fine breeze too.
Up early, washing out and then popped along Madeline's for a cuppa. Headed down to Laura's, she was out, and then on to the airport to meet the band members from Peat & Diesel. Also Princess Anne flew in today. Headed into Lerwick and Bressay in the afternoon. More walkies and another cuppa at Madeline's. Working in the shop this evening, a fairly quiet night, most must be at the Tall Ships. Off to bed early.
Lerwick was mobbed with happy revellers at the Tall Ships, also rumours about 10,000 passengers from three visiting cruise ships. I got out of it, headed to the ferry and escaped the crowds. A fine day to see the Tall Ships from the other side of the harbour. The music and screams from the funfair also carried across the water. This is looking onto the main events area, where most ships are, music venue and bar, and plenty of food and craft stalls. A perfect day to be out enjoying the summer and party atmosphere. Taken from Hill of Cruester, Bressay.
