Sentiero Alto

A 4h / 400m altitude hike around Locarno today. Perfect weather with 28° and a light breeze again. A lot of the trail was either in small paths with stone steps and stone walls on both sides uphill and all in the shade of the chestnut forest.

So we walked besides the lake to Minusio, steep upward to Brione, lunch at the Grotto Ca’ Nostra with very local, rural specialties * and a splendid view over the Lago Maggiore, higher up to the Sentiero Alta, over to Monti della SS Trinità and down to the Città Vecchia. Apero at the Isolina which is run by our friend Gianluca.

Finished setting up the terrasse today. First evening chilling outside.
