Thursday: Today’s Salad …

… mixed lettuce and rocket, which have grown well in this wet and muggy weather we currently have. In fact I’m so impressed with this foolproof and low effort way of growing salads that I’ve started another little tray of each of the above today. The seeds for this salad sown on 7th July -

Also started off some flower/herb seeds: Purple Creeping Thyme, Cirsium and Saffron Thistle, as you’ve probably guessed these are flowers for pollinators :-))

MrD went shopping to Lidl this morning, then he went off to the mountains after lunch.

Did a load of washing and at 2pm it was warm and bright so I put them out on the washing line … then the sky darkened, the brightness disappeared, I kept watch from indoors! - I’d run out of steam … was just relaxing and brought the dry washing in late afternoon.
