Perfect morning

Summer again. Wonderful light and colours. Gentle temperatures. Just blissful.

I went over to Shugborough Hall, knowing that the hall itself was closed, and it was like paradise. The gardeners were working, and happy to share their enthusiasm. I have never seen the grounds looking so wonderful.

Late bluebells, stunning rhododendrons, azaleas, wildflowers - amazing light and shade. I had such a choice.

An elusive orange tip stayed still enough for a pic.
A green-veined white posed.
The Chinese house and the bridge looked amazing.

I chose this huge damselfly as my blip. Several of them divebombed me while I was wandering around by the tennis courts. I fell over trying to line up the focus (to the consternation of the gardener who clearly thought I was mad) - no harm done......

I'm having trouble with Twitpic so I will try and put some of the others into my Blipfolio. I have put them into my Blipfolio, but it's under the category Autumn - which I know is totally misleading !!!! I'm not very good at manoeuvring round Blipfolio . Sorry

Life doesn't get any better than this.....
