Common Toadflax (Linaria vulgaris), in the usual spot, a farm track at Shantullich. Poor example. Bedraggled and mucky, possibly after much recent farm traffic dealing with the adjacent hay field, along with a mostly wet day. Should come back with a macro lens during the day, and try to get something better from one of the other examples in the slowly growing little patch of them.
Whilst at the above location, up the hill a bit, realised that the distant noise I could hear was the Belladrum music festival that commenced today. Took the map out to measure the distance between here and there. 33.5km, or 20.8 miles. A fair distance for the sound to travel. Aside from their noise/music, it was a very calm and quiet evening.
