Blueberry Day

Today was opening day for members at our favorite blueberry farm. Gorgeous weather, wonderful views on the drive there, easy picking. But this year we ran out of steam before reaching our goal of 100 lbs. We quit at 83. 
And it wasn't that we were so tired, but I think the berries will be better in about a week, and there were too, too many chattering pickers. We listened to many tedious accounts of kid's summer plans and how it was that someone decided to do this instead of that. 
Grumbling aside, our berries are mostly tucked away into the freezer after we swiftly sorted through them and put them into gallon bags.
