Nature in the Raw......

Back to one of our usual haunts for some critter spotting. 

You cold say the one that got away here but it was far more complicated. The Candy-striped spider was wrapping up the male soldier beetle while the female manged to escape. 

So I was snapping away when a wasp came in like lightning and took away the spider! It was too quick for me to capture. Unfortunately, by this point the poor solider beetle was so wrapped up in spider's silk thread that it stood no chance of escape, even though it's predator had been predated on.....
