An afternoon at Porty
We're not getting on very well with our, 'Trixie's Summer Adventure's project.
There's two reasons for this.........................
Firstly, Ann's 'Summer Fitness 2023' project seems to be taking preference.............
and..................
Secondly, the weather, since we came back to Edinburgh, hasn't been conducive to going out on a little day trip.
This morning, when I went out on my walk, it was quite warm so I was sure that Ann would say that we would go off on an adventure for the day. She didn't. She said, 'Trixie, I've signed up to do a 'Body Balance' class at 10am, we'll go on an adventure when I come back.'
Mmmmm................ when she came back, she was a bit tired so she had to lie on the sofa for half an hour whilst catching up with her soaps?!!!
This afternoon we went down to 'Porty Beach'. It was fab! We walked for about half an hour and then we jumped on the no 5 bus and went to Figgate Park. Figgate Loch was covered in loads of green slime, but that was OK because I didn't even attempt to do anything naughty like swimming in it. Nor did I even attempt to chase any of the ducks, even though a man was glaring at me because I was off my lead. I think he thought I was going to chase them. …........As if???
Popped into see Ann's friend, Iain, and then we walked along 'Porty High Street' to 'Joppa Rocks' (the newest restaurant in Porty) to check out the menu etc. Ann wasn't impressed – the menu seemed really limited and quite expensive.
From there, I had about 45 mins play on the beach and guess what?................. I found, not one, but two manky old balls. Yay! Unfortunately Ann refused to carry them so I had to abandon the mankiest one, which was a tennis ball that was falling apart.
….............BUT, at least I ended up with a very nice purple and orange bouncy ball. Yay!!!!!
