At work today from eight 'til four (Oxfam Books purchase on my way back to the office after an appointment pictured here). I was a bit late leaving tho' when the internet went down just as I was sorting out my out of office message for the next nineteen days that I'm off for. Is that ironic? I dunno, but I didn't stress it too much, what with having the next nineteen days off an' all that.

A walk up The Hill after work with our guests, glorious it was up there, almost like being on holiday.

And then while they went out for the evening I took mesen off to the local multiplex for a one-night-only screening of the newly-restored version of The Virgin Suicides, a film I'd only ever seen once before, at home, on DVD, on a little telly. And as I'd re-read the original novel quite recently too  - on holiday on Capri actually (soz, but it's true!) - I thought I really should go. And what a beautifully dreamy and rather quite odd film it was too.
