Best bits

Made some forward progress at work today and instead of being reactive, was actually able to get ahead on a couple of things. The wonder!

I received a photo mid-morning showing The Youngest with her ears pierced (extra). She looks so pretty and grown up (even with the lollipop in her gob)!

Enjoyed a cracking lunch of vegetarian meatballs on Mac n cheese. It was so goooood (and filling).

The afternoon passed with the cricket on in the background, though the Ashes have gone it does still feel like England have got something to play for.

As the sun came round into the back room in the afternoon, I liked its effect on these sunflowers, so took a cheeky snap.

It was either this or the usual Friday night cricket shot. It was their last “official” Dynamos session tonight, but we have taken the club up on the option of joining the extended program for another four weeks. It really is a nice way to lead into the weekend.

The best bits are the first sip of a cold lager as I sit on the decking and decompress from the week, closely followed by a post session chat with some friends whilst the wee ones devour a burger and/or ice cream before joining them out on the pitch and playing our own mini game. 

It’s one of the few times of the week where there is no rush or desire to be anywhere but where we are.
