Lake of the Clouds

Today we left Eagle River and headed to next destination near Ontonagon, MI. The drive took us South and West.  After lunch in Ontonagon, we went to see Lake of the Clouds in the Porcupine Mountains.  The view from the overlook is breathtaking even on a cloudy day.  It is Lake of the Clouds after all...... (You can see the wind ripples on the lake in this 3 shot HDR It was pretty chilly today.)

As we were leaving the park, we stopped so I could take some photos on the Lake Superior shoreline and I spotted the bald eagle in the extra.
