Fantastic Concert!

We went to hear the Guernsey Symphony Orchestra Concert this evening and boy was it good. It was entitled ‘Shaken and Stirred … The Music of 007’. They had a guest conductor Richard Balcombe who is said to be one of the most versatile musicians of his generation and he was amazing! Louise Dearman (soloist) had an amazing voice. She is an actress in UK having performed in Wicked, Guys and Dolls and many others. Lance Ellington also a marvellous soloist has performed on the live show of Strictly and has regularly performed with Robbie Williams, Tina Turner etc. He too had a wonderful voice. The talent in the orchestra was exemplary and there were many young players which was amazing to see. What a great way to spend an evening! So much musical talent in our island!
