I went to Sipe Wildlife Refuge for the 20th annual hummingbird festival. I only went to snap the activity and camera equipment. I just go out on my deck if I want to snap hummingbirds.

       When I was first in this country it took a little while to get used to policemen and other law enforcement officers carrying sidearms (and a shotguns in patrol cars) until I just saw them as another part of the uniform like the badge and radio. But what does alarm me is why civilians see the need to carry a firearm (I hear tell some say they feel naked without one). No prizes for guessing the name on his red hat and blue tee-shirt. And then there are unknown others with concealed carry permits . . . .
