Blue Lagoon
What a day! 6pm and it's still roasting, the sun is shining and it's too nice to be inside - so comments might occur later! I stopped off at this magical spot on my way home from work. It's worth biggifying for there's lots going on. The water in front is a little lagoon, a bit swampy, and hidden amongst the reeds (you can just see a white neck) is a swan sitting on a nest - rather late I think. Beyond is the sea and in front of me is the sea. The wildflowers are astonishing - birdsfooot trefoil, sea campion, thrift, samphire and yellow kidney vetch. No orchids yet that I could see. I am standing on a tiny sandy, shelly strip of beach, just off the road and not a soul around. I paddled but it was perishing.
