Sinkhole!

Rather than make cheese today I decided to bake a lemon drizzle cake. I should have stuck to cheese! 

I put the oven on too high, so the cake ended up with a burnt crust and a large sinkhole in the middle. I was so annoyed with myself.

However all is not lost, I’ve scooped out the middle (to eat for pud this evening) and I’ll freeze the rest whole, then serve it with stewed apples and whipped cream when I next have guests.

The rest of the day has been much more successful, thankfully.
