Did some laundry and other chores and then drove round to AJ’s to go through the prizes for the children’s tombola. We decided we had enough but to let the children choose their own prizes- that way we avoid a 10 year old getting something suitable for a 3year old ! Also meant the preparation for it was much quicker. When we’d finished we sat out in the garden for a while and had some delicious pea soup that A had made.
Drove round to Jo’s to park the car and get the tram into town. The Pride parade had just finished so the town was rammed with people all having a fantastic time in the sunshine! The Broadway cinema bars were heaving too but we managed to get a drink to take in with us and settled down to watch Oppenheimer. Thought it was an excellent film with lots to think about. It was long, but the seats were very comfortable and we didn’t think it was too long. Got the team back to Jo’s and had a drink in her local pub before going home for someone to collect some speakers of Js which I’ve been trying to sell for a while. 4th time lucky!
